Many people can be anxious when it comes to visiting the dentist. Studies show that up to 45% of adults in the UK admit that fear is the reason they do not see their dentist regularly and it is estimated that 15% of those people are severely anxious (phobic).
At Evesham Dental Health Team we work really hard to ensure our patients feel safe, calm and confident when they visit our Broadway Road dental practice. We have even made sure our décor is calming.
We received the most amazing Google review recently from a once-nervous patient who we helped to overcome her fears. “This dentist made me get over my fear of the dentist. From the very first appointment when they took me to a room that was painted in a calm and relaxing colour, with a large window out to the garden and a TV with images of nature on it I just felt so calm and relaxed being there.”
“The waiting room has a big window and comfy chairs and feels warm and friendly. White walls and blue dentist chairs at normal dentists immediately make me panic. Here everything is set up to make you feel safe and calm, you are welcomed somewhere that is actually a nice place to be. I never dreaded coming to this dentist ever. I have recommended it to anyone and everyone.Every member of staff I have come in contact with has been warm and friendly.”
“Before I went to this dentist I used to be in so much pain when I had any treatments like fillings, I thought anaesthetics didn’t work for me. Here they explained that they just needed to give the anaesthesia time to start, the difference was amazing, I didn’t feel anything. If you’re having something like that done they even offer to play music you like and sometimes have a screen where you can watch something.”
