At Evesham Dental Health Team on Broadway Road we have been extending our opening hours to help patients who had membership maintenance care postponed during lockdown.
We held our first Super Saturday and Super Sunday on July 25th and 26th and another over the weekend of August 8th and 9th. Both weekends have been hugely successful with lots of positive feedback from appreciative patients. Don’t worry if you haven’t booked in yet, there are further opportunities in September, October and November.
Dentist Richard Colebourne and dentist Sarah Moore provided dental health reviews whilst our hygienists/therapists Angela Hamman, Charlotte Bolt, Julie Coop, Bianca O’Loughlin and Katharine Moulton carried out hygiene care.
Of course the main reason it was possible to hold these extra days is because of the amazing support of our whole team as each day needed our receptionists and nurses to extend their working hours. Richard kept us all fed with pizzas for lunch and even a cooked breakfast on Sunday morning!
We have more maintenance care planned and we are creating other opportunities to help our patients keep on top of their dental health.
Ensuring your safety
We are now able to carry out all of our usual treatments except that we can’t use wonderful Airflow polishing during routine hygienist visits, and complex full arch All-on-4 implant cases are on hold for the time being.
Government guidance says we still have to allow fallow (empty room) time following aerosol generating procedures (AGP).
The knock-on effect is that we have fewer appointments available for patients each day, which is why we are extending our opening hours to accommodate everyone – thank goodness for our fabulously supportive team and understanding patients!
For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, we have invested in Surgically Clean Air JADE Air Purifiers, extra oral suction units and large extractor fans to increase the treatment room air changes per hour. So along with having air conditioning, all the treatment and hygienist rooms have lovely cool, CLEAN air for our staff and patients to breathe.
We look forward to seeing all of our patients soon – and we promise we will get to each and every one of you! Thanks for bearing with us during this challenging time. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
