Aleksandra (Ala) joined the practice part-time in 2012. She qualified from Cardiff University in Wales and has since enthusiastically pursued further post-graduate studies, including courses at the Kois Center, Seattle USA. Ala also provides sedation.
Ala was born locally and grew up with dentistry in the family. Her mother Ewa is a dentist in Cheltenham, which is where Ala also works one day a week
“I love being a dentist. It really is the best job in the world. I love the mixture of science in the materials, the engineering concepts behind making solutions that work properly and the art of making my work look as natural as I can.
“Most of all, I love meeting people and building strong relationships with them, so that I can understand what my patients want from their dental care. This means that I can make sure that whatever work we are doing, we are moving towards reaching the same long-term dental goals. I love that sometimes I have the opportunity to make a huge difference to a person’s quality of life, and I like making the simple dentistry that I do every day as pain-free, hassle free and as pleasant I can. The feedback that I get from my patients keeps me going and makes me strive to be as good as I can be.”
Professional memberships include BDA and GID.
Ala can speak fluent Polish and communicate in several European languages.
She is married to Adam and they have a son called Rafal who was born in 2017 and a daughter Natalia born in 2020. In her spare time Ala enjoys mountain biking, surfing and camping in their customised van.
