What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers consist of hyaluronic acid for injection into the skin to temporarily improve facial lines, wrinkles and folds, for lip enhancement and for shaping the facial contours. The dermal fillers we use conform to the current safety standards in the UK. It is a non-permanent procedure and a top up will be needed in about twelve months’ time.
How does Botox work?
This treatment uses a dilute form of Botulinum Toxin Type A, which is administered by injection at specific points on the face. The product temporarily weakens the muscles responsible for developing facial expression lines caused by muscle activity.
The effect gradually takes effect over a week to ten days. After 30 days it will be working fully. The effect of treatment lasts, on average, for three to four months but can last for up to six months in some people.
